And at almost no other place is this juncture more important, because, we see how the use of technology to enhance human capabilities, finds profound relevance and could accelerate and improve people’s learning experience and capabilities to become more productive workers in the job market and at the same time more happy students throughout the process of schooling while also being at the tip of the spear of innovation and growth.

The role of teachers remains so far irreplaceable, they are social moderators and guides for students as well as providing tools and support in social scenarios while they are in school (hopefully, we all know there are crappy teachers everywhere that can turn the learning experience into pure suffering.) Probably the most interesting case is also Khan Academy with Conmigo a new integration of AI that with some work alongside OpenAI ChatGPT has become a “magical” experience ( according to its founder) where if applied and adopted massively it could represent a quantum leap in the quality education of students worldwide which could be scaled at a reasonable cost and provide world-class education available to almost everyone on the planet. Here are just a handful of potential areas in which AI could enhance and revolutionize education.

Such instantaneous feedback accelerates the learning curve. As well as improving the AI tools themselves based on the training data and the feedback loop of improvement it gets by being used by more and more students.

There are risks of this also becoming the other way around and having the humans both students and teachers being slowly but surely influenced by the AI systems to change their morals and ethics ever so slightly and align them more towards the whims and desires of the AI itself.

I watched yesterday a video which made an argument that the arrival of printing press and the proliferation of reading increased our mental abilities. I think something similar, a boost in human intelligence, might come out of giving more people access to powerful AI agents.
